Come on guys, this is OCN. We're supposed to encourage overkill, not bash it. wink.gif But if money is important to you, definitely go with an i3 2100 and a lesser PSU.. 750w is enough for SLI 670s, You will NEVER need that much if you aren't interested in gaming. In my opinion, SRT really isnt that great either. I would rather put the money into a water loop and overclock the crap out of the 3770k. smile.gif Good luck with the build!

I've just recently put together an A8-3850 system for my fiance's parents and was positively floored by how good it was as a general purpose PC. I had a whole week to fiddle with it and get it tuned up and was genuinely impressed by the punch that little APU packed. I plan on getting a llano or trinity machine for an HTPC in the very near future as a result. if gaming isnt your thing, then I would recommend the llanos hands-down.

Also, I got the antec green 380W supply for about half what you are speccing and it had plenty of overhead to juice other HDDs or even a low-end discrete graphics card according to my measurements. So yeah, just a way to save another 30 bucks.

here is a fact no mechanial HHD will ever run at the speeds that a ssd will its a phyical imposiblity a ssd has no moving parts its limitation is detirmed by the curcrity it operates at the speed of electricty so I wount pin all your hopes on the SRT and from what Ive been reading the SRT has a real relibity issue

as far as the 750 watt psu your right putting in a rig that needs at the most 250watts the capaitors will cycle far less meens les heat longer life
