Thread Starter
Friend is looking for a gaming Keyboard
Plays Mostly EverQuest, Diablo 3, Dota 2 and a few FPS games

Budget is ~$100

Needs to have a number pad

does not have to be mechanical

does not have to have macros

Recommendations?

What do you mean by gaming keyboard? Since you don't need macros you might want to get a plain black keyboard and paint "Gaming Edition" in red across the front and then paint something like a dragon giving birth to a robot hippo with a rocket pack on. Because that is what you will basically be buying when you buy a gaming keyboard without macros.

LOL +rep for creativity!

no when I say gaming, I mean that is what he will be using it for and often will be pressing several keys simultaneously so he wants something with antighosting/N-key rollover

as far as I know there is no other real need for this outside of gaming

A good keyboard is the Steel Series 6gv2. It's a mechanical keyboard that features full anti-ghosting and roll over. You can literally press every key and it will register. It's also build like a tank and can withstand taking a zombie out if you hit it on the head.

Having all the keys work is a feature now?

What I mean is you can press every key at the same time and all the keys will register. It's not 6 keys or 8 keys but every key you can press will register.

The Ducky Shine is nice if he doesn't mind expanding his budget a little. The Corsair K90 and K60 are good choices too
