I think she was looking at that one, but decided that $150 was a bit more than she wanted to fork over. I think one thing that manufacturers need to do with the ipad keyboards is weight the very edge by the user a bit more--as you tilt the display/ipad back for viewing, it tends to defeat the weight balance of the keyboard and tip backwards easily. Not a concern about breaking, just an annoyance. But on the other hand, then you'll have to worry about people thinking that the keyboard is too heavy.

Yeah I kind of need it to be a droid tablet though. I had a second hand ipad 1 and it was nice but I have to much invested in google services.

Then my vote is to get the TF Infinity and hope it's better quality -- keep returning it until you get a solid unit if it's not perfect.

Ok so I am still investigating the netbook idea. Does anyone make a high def 1080p netbook that is 10-12 in. I guess that would be pretty high pixel density.

The problem is I have an hp netbook but the screen is hard for me to see.

I haven't heard of a 1080p netbook. I think such a high pixel density screen is tough to use and maintain netbook status (both in terms of price and spec's). I guess one ought to ask what your budget is?

well theres this company called apple who makes this 1080p tablet called the ipad 3.....jk.

do you mean one to output 1080p video (easy) or with its own 1080p monitor? (very hard)

Yeah I mean one with a 1080p screen on its own. I know there are a bunch that output at 1080. Would probably push the cost past my budget anyway.

My current netbook is 1024x768 I believe. There are a bunch at 1366x768.

I's kind of looking like the Tf700 is the best option though.

Ok in my research of tablets lately this is what I've come up with:

Every single tablet from every manufacturer has it's issues, and I mean all of them! If you were to get one right now there are really only 2 that stand out beyond the rest of them and even they have issues, the first one is the Asus TF201 series also know as the Prime and is still at the moment considered to be the best even with it's Wifi and Bluetooth issues. The Second contender is the Toshiba Excite 10 series of tablets which are as close as you can get to the TF700 right this second! Really all you'd need to do to it to have it meet the TF700 main specs is up the CPU from its 1.2 Ghz to the 1.5 or 1.6 Ghz the Infinity is going to have and put the HD screen on it and you would basically have a TF700. But and it's a big but for most, the Toshiba suffers from what most reviewers are calling major or massive light bleed on the edges of the screen. So for me I'm going to wait until reviews start coming out for the TF700 before I make my decision of what route I'm going to take and as I'm by nature very impatient when it comes to technology it's going to be a long hard time for me biggrin.gif

Because I want one NOW biggrin.gif

I just read about the 13in Toshiba Excite. I wonder if that would be big enough to use the on screen keyboard. I did that with my ipad it wasn't bad and I imagine another 13 inches would help. Its less than the price of the infinity plus dock but if I got that tablet it would mean getting a netbook too would put me over budget so that means using the onscreen or Bluetooth. It also weighs 2.2 lb
