So basically, I was deadset on the Corsair 300R, but after looking at a few reviews, the case was just too flimsy for me to spend £60 on it. Moving on to the Corsair 650D, PERFECT (although 8 drive bays would be nice) and the USB 3.0 issue didn't bother me as I could buy a £8 adapter. Buying the 650D would have put me vastly over budget but when I like a case... I like a case and to hell with the budget
Anyway, after reading up about all the trouble with the front fan noise for the 650D, including the necessity to completely cut out the grill, thereby voiding my warranty...Not interested.

With the aesthetics of the 300R and the 650D in mind, I.E minimalist, as few curves and bulges as possible, can you guys recommend me a case for an ideal budget of £70, though reaching up to a maximum of £150 (though I'll reeeally have to like it to accept the price). The case needs to ideally support USB 3.0, but it must have 6+ drive bays, ideally 8+. This will be used as a file server / NAS, so while silence is preferred, as long as the price is not too extreme, I am fine with adding aftermarket fans.
I have looked at the Define R3 and Define R3 XL and functionally, they're perfect, however aesthetics wise I'm not too impressed and I can honestly say If I had to look at it for let's say 5 years in my room, I'd probably feel some buyers remorse if there truly is no better option for me. At this point I'm tempted to postpone the build till early july or as long as it takes really, pending a suitable case. All the hardware is selected and has been for some time now. I do take my cases seriously as, realistically, I will have them for the better part of a decade. Thanks.
