GTX480 SLI issues on ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Motherboard

So I recently picked up a new GTX480 to give my current card some company, but I've started having this really odd issue. Whenever I plug a second card into my second PCIe slot, the card in the first PCIe slot stops functioning. I can plug the second card in and run my monitor off of it, but Device manager, GPUz, MSI Afterburner and Nvidia control panel don't recognize the first card. I've tried swapping the cards, making sure that the IGP and multimonitor IGP are disabled in the bios, and resetting the CMOS. Anyone have any thoughts, or maybe some experience with this motherboard?

One thing I discovered when leak testing my rig was if I had the SLI bridge out the driver would not initialize for my GTX 470's Not sure if it was driver related or not. But once I installed the bridge and rebooted all was good.

This was repeatable on my Crosshair V/Bulldozer as well as my current setup Z77X-UD5H / 3570k.

Do you have the SLi bridge installed?

I thought I'd post an update.

I've made sure I updated my bios to the latest, and I've even tried rolling back to the last few, no change.

I'm trying to use a Gigabyte Reference card with a EVGA SC reference card, and although they both have the same hardware ID I even tried flashing the Gigabyte card with the EVGA bios, but it made no difference.

I've contacted ASRock support, and thus far they've just told me to try things I've already tried. At this point I'd probably just say it was a faulty motherboard... but both of the PCIe slots work with each card and I only have issues when I try to use both.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
