Looking good. I'm loving the budget working areas especially the Photo Booth. What is the exact model of your new monitor, if you don't mind my asking? :-)

Finally found a way to fit my huge pump and PSU together in this case, directly to the rad!

Gah, brown PCB!! mad.gif Not sure if I hate you, or the red stickers on the RAM more...

Dremeled out more of the panel to make room for tubes to reservoir and for connecting to it.

More work tonight, parts coming from Frozen, hopefully have this up and running soon, to satisfy my gaming itch. I think I am holding off on the midplate for now, as Im not sure I know how I want the final layout yet. Opinions welcomed, especially on the sleeved tubing! Thanks smile.gif

I think the sleeved tubing looks great.

Is that a stock part for the S3 with the two fans in the drive bay panel under the video card, or did you make that yourself?

He custom cut that rad opening. He detailed it in this thread if you want to check out how to do it.

Thanks mate! I think it would be too hard to take it out now anyway tongue.gif No, as suby said (thanks mate!) I dremeled it out. There is actually a rad under those fans as well. It is documented in previous posts if you are interested. smile.gif

Thanks B3L13V3R!

I had the build all together and ensured it was leak free, but was having problems getting it to turn on. I tested the PSU before I put it in, but it wouldnt turn on at all, so after trying some things, reseating ram etc, I decided there had to be a bad connection in the PSU. Took it out and hooked up my old TX 650. That got the fans to spin up, but no signal to monitor. Ok I thought, must be a ram problem. So after trying to run one stick at a time, I finally got it to work with one of the sticks in the far slot. Accepted the fact I had to get new RAM (bought mine on ebay, so no warranty), then I checked RAM prices, they have gone up at least 50% since I was last in the market. Not ready to drop 100 bucks on new sticks. I checked the contacts on the RAM and they looked to be good, but I cleaned them with alcohol anyway. Finally got it to boot to bios with both sticks!! Changed the settings in teh bios to the correct timings but lowered the speed 200mhz, just to be safe. Booted into windows and ran some superpi to see if it was all good, ran great!

FINALLY, I thought, ready to game! Fired up FC3 at native rez, set it to "high". This game just rips my card to shreds, getting high 30s FPS at best. Then I realized I forgot to OC my card doh.gif . Went out and cranked it up from 800/1250 to 1025/1500(highest stable clock I had time to test). Restarted the game and it is running mid 40s average with some of the setting turned down. While this is what I expected, the good news is even though the usage was pinned at 99%, with that 33% overclock, the temps never went above 40C, epic cooling!! This card would idle higher than that with the air cooler, its like a 40C drop. biggrin.gif I wish I had money for a new card (mine will be 3 years old in December), I will wait until christmas at least, wait for the new AMD cards to come out and either get one of those, or a cheaper last gen card.

Still have to get the PSU back in and see what the problem is with that, but for now I am playing FC3 happily, just bought a cheap tomb raider code as well. and I am loving this new monitor, even when not gaming. Even watching iTunes visualizer=epic. Wil take some pictures sometime soon, thanks for following gents (and ladies? tongue.gif)! thumb.gif
