This is where I bought them, I think they charge you more if your order is less than 50 bucks though. Theres a promo code for 5% off too if you search google smile.gif

cool thanks.

dont forget to put sound dampening foam on the sides before you put the rads in, if you have plans to use foam.

for the rads, i was going to suggest one of the premade stands + rivets or screws.

what you made looks awesome. does it go all the way to the sides of the case? maybe you should have made it so you bend not only the bottom, but the sides too. that way you can rivet them in and it would be extra stable and less noisy. also, that way it would create a sealed box for the rads, acting as a shroud. a massive shroud.

I wasnt planning to put noise dampening foam, as I used some in my last build and what a PITA. Had to scrape if off with a heat gun, goo gone, and a paint scraper. I would like to avoid that at all costs if possible, and I dont plan to run the fans too high on the rad. My 3570k is at stock and undervolted, and my 6970 doesnt put out too much heat, so I think I should be alright with around 1000-1200 rpm.

The stand I made goes all the way to the sides yes. I avoided stands because first of all, since the rads go right up to the edge of the case, the mounting for those stands would be half mounted on the floor and half on the side panel that is bent in. This would make it uneven. I could shim it or something, but I decided I would rather be able to mount it more near the center. The second reason for not choosing off the shelf stands is so that this matches whatever finish I put on the other aluminum parts in the case. I will be making a custom backplate for the case and the videocard I beleive, possibly even the mobo. If I do it custom, now I can put the same finish on this part as the others, and not worry about whether the XSPC rad finish will flow with the rest of the system. I didnt think about bending it on the sides, it is definately a good idea, but I wanted to avoid as many screws on the outside of the case as possible to maintan the clean sleek look. I am hoping that since the metal will be more or less matched to the width of the case that it will have some of the same effects.

Thank you for the suggestions and if you have any more please feel free to let me know! I am always happy to hear them smile.gif +rep for the ideas!

Little update here, bent the rad stand and will attempt to fit it in the case tonight. Then mount the aquaero and order some sleeving!

Some minor progress, the final idea is coming together, but girlfriends, grandparents, and working full time have slowed me down a little.

Ive had to modify some things I didnt forsee when I planned this all out..in my head tongue.gif

First of all, had to redrill the mounting holes for the pump mount. Why? (It might look crooked, but its just sitting on the power pin)

So that the pump/res combo would fit under the fitting of the radiator. otherwise the pump would hit the mobo and cover up the 24 pin and block the fittings.

Here is what the final layout will look like:

Everything barely fits under the fittings, thankfully applaud.gif

Now some of you may be thinking: "well what the _____ is this kid thinking?? The PSU, the HD, the pump/res, and the graphics card are gonna cause the rads to starve!! Well first of all, I dont have a choice; this is no TJ11 people, this case is the size of a size 15 shoebox. The way I see it, systems of this size (besides some SG07/8 builds) need to have lowpro heatsinks and air cooled GPUs.. One thing I decided I must do to this case was move the PSU. To be sure to have this much rad, It was either put it in this position, or over the CPU (stock), which would kill the aesthetics and ruling out the possibility of a window on top. Second of all, I am not overclocking this CPU much. Right now it is @ stock undervolted, and the GPU has slight OC, but not much. In other words, I dont need a bumload of rads with push pull 3000RPM deltas to cool this hardware. Some resistance will be fine, the enermax fans are pretty high CFM for their RPM. Thirdly, I will be cutting out the back of the PSU to allow the rad air to flow through the PSU, which will then get sucked right out of the case by the fan right in front of the PSU. In all reality, I dont need to watercool this hardware at all, I dont even break 55C with the stock cooler. But what fun is that tongue.gif

As this case HAS to be done before I leave for college on labor day weekend, this IS my daily driver, not some secondary rig I am going to sell. Because of this, I am slowly realizing that some things may not come to be in this project. After all, I only have a month, and funds are not falling from the sky, I have to buy books for the fall. tongue.gif The first cut might be the anodizing of the aluminum parts. Working with Dwood now to get some metal lasercut, but anodizing them just may not happen due to money and time constraints. I think I will have a go with a semi gloss black metal parts inside the case and have a black and white theme inside, with an anodized outside. Hopefully I dont have to cut anything else, but the next big thing would be the hard copper tubing. Sourcing the tools and learning the trade up to my standards might be too much for me in this time frame. Unfortunately I am not a 40 year old modder with a full time job and a machine shop, I am a 20 year old college student who still has at least two years of school to go, and sometimes the reality starts to set in. tongue.gif

Dont worry, I will still be pouring my hard work and passion into this build until it meets my standards biggrin.gif Stay tuned for updates! thumb.gif

Hey man your build is great. If you don't to do all the things you want, I would not worry about it. Your rig is great as it is. Lol I am in my 30's, work fulltime and have an alright shop and I still can't get stuff done on my build.

Thanks bud, but I would not agree with you that it is great as it is, its not even put together tongue.gif It seems like us teens and early twenty kids have all the time but no money, and the older modders have a lot more money, but no time thinking.gif Can never get ahead I guess smile.gif

Anyway, yesterday while weeping silently in a dark corner of my basement after realizing I might not be able to do copper tubing, I had a Eureka moment. bulb.gif Yes, I have always wanted to do copper tubing, but I have also always wanted to do sleeved tubing! I knew I could not go back to just regular tubing, I had to have something different that not too many people had done. Sleeved tubing fits the bill! As of now, I am planning to do 3/8 1/2 tubing with MDPC sata sleeve (which fits around it quite good I hear). I think white would overload the balance of colors, so I am thinking as of now that I should do black tubing with black sleeve on it and sleeve all the cables white. I think that will be a nice balance with my white blocks and res. We shall see though, Ive been wrong before, and things often look different in my head than in real life biggrin.gif

Also, sent off a piece of scrap aluminum from my case to Dwood, so he can see how it reacts to the laser he has. Hopefully it wont get burned too much and I can get some sweet things cut into the case thumb.gif

Don't worry man. You will find a way. I have come to the realization that when I stress to get things done or I am in a wicked time crunch I don't get that part done or I screw it up. Sleeved tubing huh? The builds I've seen with that either look incredible or terrible. Lol. If you put as much time into it as your other parts it will look great. Keep up the good work.

Yes, Im just gonna go with the flow and not worry about what I cant do. Put that on the back burner for the next build biggrin.gif. I would agree with you there, hopefully this will be incredible tongue.gif For those of you who dont know what sleeved tubing looks like, here is a rough idea (remember mine will be with compressions not barbs):
