Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 $315.00
ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP $249.99
HIS Hightech H195CF512-R Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition 512MB $459.99
OCZ GameXStream 600W $119.99
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) $299.99
COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 $49.99
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB $77.99
Total w/o shipping: $1572.94

I would also recommend a better cooler. Such as the Scythe Infinity $57.99
Also, if you want you can get a better case since you still have about $100-$200 left. But not sure if you want to pay over $100 now since you said you don't want to pay $200 for a case.

I would recommend you get a Zalman VF900-CU for each video card because they work better and are much quieter.

Alright, I will buy a zalman vf900 for the x1950, a better cooler for the cpu, and some artic silver paste. I still need to choose between ocz, g.skill, and corsair. I've heard good things about ocz and g.skill, but there probably all about the same.

I would recomend a SEAGATE 320GB HDD with 16MB buffer and perpendicular recording.
Link here.
Review here.

I have the 250GB and it's great. From the review on the web I've seen it's the best except for the raptor of course.

If your still under budget Id look into changing the board for a P5W64 Pro its got alot nice voltage regulation which is great for overclocking because it doesnt droop like alot of the other ASUS boards. It seems to be a much better "out of the box" board then anything else right now. Plus its only a few bucks more then the P5WDH.

The Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) ST3250620AS 250GB for $79.99 here will fit your budget better. It's around the same price as the original WD you wanted but this works better because of Perpendicular Recording.

I don't recommend the P5W64 Pro, I do at the same time It IS better than the P5W DH Deluxe but it's really expensive [in my opinion] and unless you are experienced, I would say don't touch that and get the P5W.

You are correct. If you put the PSU on the bottom the fan will face up. If mounted on top, the fan will simply face down.

These are the updated components, mostly everything stayed the same, but i've added a few things

CPU: E6600 $315.00

Cooling Fan: ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm $63.99

It's too bad that newegg doesn't carry the ZALMAN CNPS9700

MOBO: ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard $249.99

PSU: OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W Power Supply $154.99

GPU: ATI Radeon X1950 crossfire edition $459.99

VGA Cooling: ZALMAN VF900 $32.99

HD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s $77.99

RAM: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) $299.99

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS SB0350 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card $74.99

CASE: Thermaltake Swing VB6000BWS Black 0.8 mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $68.99

I've heard good things about gskill and it has good reviews. I'm not sure i like the look of the case, but thermaltake is a good company, so it will probably work well. Anyway, that brings my computer to around $1829. Not bad, if i have to, i can use an old sound card. I've had good experiences with Western Digital, so i think i will stick with the wd caviar, but thanks anyway. Well, what do you think?
