I've been dabbling at the idea of making my own case, been following spots for quite a bit and asking for advise as well.. this Guy's stuff it baddarse

Thanks for the sub, I appreciate it, but this won't be the build log thread, as it's not in the right section, and full of posts that won't be relevant. I'll link the build log thread when I make it.

Where about's in NZ are you? I've recently built a testbench for my (dual xeon, half ssi rig) out of plywood, as a stand in before I build a custom case build out of aluminium, If you need any help sourcing materials, feel free to PM me thumb.gif
Also for the back plate, consider getting the i/o plate off of an old atx case makes things alot easier, theres alot of pricesion needed for a custom backplate, doesn't look quite as nice though.

I'm in Wellington. Sorted the materials, the aluminium should be here by the weekend, but thanks for the offer! I still need acrylic for the window, I'll probably get that off Trademe as I'm not sure where else to go, and I also need rubber edging to go around any holes any cables will be going through, I'll be getting that from Para Rubber.

I will be getting the IO plate from Mountain Mods. Here's a pic:
