[bitfenix.com] Bitfenix unleashes Prodigy ITX case - Page 15

I was gonna get a laptop you know, But in a way i think just get this including a GTX 660 when released :O

Still gonna be portable, The only thing i worry about on this is the cable space, But i guess with the corsair AX series they would be fine in this.

Well then,

Rough design is ready, now i just need to wait for the case to be available and order everything for the "Prodigy mATX build".. wink.gif

Then it's off to the garage and spend a few hours with the bender, dremel and grinder, don't forget the big-ass hammer!

Then it's powdercoating.

And then, profit.

I absolutely love this case, but I would love to see an mATX variant of the Prodigy as well. Maybe use a normal motherboard layout, but with a bit of tweaking by Bitfenix to make it just right smile.gif If an mATX case comes up, I would definitely slap this H77 in there and make a little mobile powerhouse. My only problem with mITX is that I only have one PCI slot which doesn't let me fit my tv tuner in frown.gif

I have always liked the looks of the BitFenix cases since the Survivor was released, fast forward a couple of years and they are still not available at newegg...its a shame.

Earlier in the thread, the Bitfenix rep said this case will be available on newegg and they're getting them to carry the rest of their cases as well.

Does having availability of our product on Newegg add to what you like about the product? Just curious, because a Survivor at store A, will be the same as store B. Newegg isn't any different from NCIXUS, or any other retailer... Except maybe shipping.

Just want confirmation but an NH-D14 fits in the Prodigy, yes? I don't mind if I have to remove the 5.25" bay to fit the front fan on since I would have removed that bay anyway.

Yep, a NH-D14 will fit.

If I've got the url right the video bellow should start at 10:25, where he puts one in the case. If not you can manually skip to around 10:25 and see for yourself.

[EDIT]

See also 6:30 on this video straight from BitFenix, he says there is 160mm of room for coolers.

I'll be honest, this is the first Bitfenix case I've seen that I've been remotely impressed with and they've completely blown me away.

I'm going to be building 5 or 6 pc's for family and friends soon, and I'm so impressed that I'm going to use this for all of them. It's even making me reconsider the Silverstone FT03 I was going to get for my own upcoming build.

Seriously, well done. thumb.gif

I agree with you that Store A will ship a case identical to Store B, but it is rather convenient to be able to order your entire build with just one click. While I'm not opposed to ordering from more than one place, I'll take ordering everything at once anyday. tongue.gif
