Last GPU I got from them had some paper tossed on it as well. Seeing as I own a UPS Store, I was in complete shock it wasn't broken. Horrible packing from them.

This a nice thread. I'm a long time reg of newegg and have ordered tons with no problems never had DOA's or anything, and the packaging has always been great. I ordered $1,500 for more parts this morning from the egg and other places, and my stuff from the egg is coming from cali, NJ, and TN. So when i get the stuff I'll take pictures of the packaging. Even when it's just a MB from newegg they load the box down with peanuts, and sometimes with stuff like mouses etc it's wrapped in brown paper.

I'm interested in seeing how everything comes packed from the different warehouses. If your stuff from Tennessee comes packed in brown paper, I'll probably just hunt down the phone number for the manager of that warehouse and post it here.

It's got to be publicly listed given that they're a publicly traded company, it just won't be easy to find.

UPS guy came by today, they hadn't gotten in touch with him about the claim yet but he said that if I hadn't called them about it yet he could've just rescanned the package, entered it as refused and it would have gone back to them for a full refund, no fuss no muss. I'm going to remember that next time. As it stands, now I'm waiting through memorial day weekend before I can send it back.

Edit: Another update. Just checked my email and a new card was shipped out today by UPS 3-day. So hopefully they'll just pick up the war victim when that one is delivered.

If this one comes from Tennessee, and is yet again packed in paper with the card sitting on top with nothing between it and the top of the box......

Now if only I had all three of them functioning, undamaged, and in my PC RAGHT NAOW....

So the replacement card... Paid for by UPS... Is on it's way, and this one is likely going straight into the trashcan when it gets back to the warehouse.... Is there any harm in popping it in and seeing if it still works? Will the BIOS show that it's been booted?

Okay.... Looks like I have something interesting to do tomorrow.

I guess a better question would be; since the damage claim has already been accepted and acted upon, is there any means by which they could renege on that if I used the product in it's damaged state?
