This is coming from the same company that once sold horse armor as a paid DLC. We should definitely not take "free" for granted, especially since free content in game patches seems to be a dying art. mad.gif

Could do with more official spells. Going from oblivion to this is a bit unfortunate in that regard.
Also could do with some stupid spells as well, maybe one for tripping guards.

This is one reason why I do have some respect for Bethesda

Skyrim has been out for just over 6 months and we are still seeing regular patches to make the experience better. That is quite rare these days. Seeing as most devs just launch, maybe patch once or twice 3 months down the line after everyone has had their broken game collecting dust for the past 2 months and then nothing. They just focus on a sequel.

I know Bethesda have had issues (Horse Armour for one) but it looks like they are learning from past mistakes and giving loyal customers a truly remarkable game.

I love Skyrim. Sure, its rough around the edges but the sense of exploration is above and beyond anything I have experienced in any other game. New patches are always welcome and I know the Falmer DLC is dropping in the not too distant future. Lets just hope it adds some serious value (10+hrs would be awesome) and is priced right thumb.gif

Yeah I hope they leave all the gimmicks and extra items and stuff for free patches and concentrate on expansions of the main story, quests and such

The outrage around Horse armor was probably more about the timing than the actual event. If that happened today hardly anyone would care. Back when it did happen the DLC concept was fairly new. These days we're pretty happy if the DLC is just aesthetic crap and not missing pieces of story, characters, weapons, or maps.

Problem is free should be granted anyway. The only thing they ought to be charging for (in this case) is expansionary materials. A couple of new spells and horse armour really isn't something they should be thinking of asking money for.

But, then again, they signed on big with the mod community which was a good sign from the tart that they would only be asking for money for worthwhile things.
