Here it is boys and girls, the 20 grand workstation build I've been commissioned to design, construct, and field test to the absolute limit. Behold,

Project Cheshire by SniperTeamTango (Real Name Withheld) is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs License.
What does the above mean? Basically due to my contractor's requests, the designs featured in this build log are open to use by anyone who desires, however making a profit off them is strictly prohibited as well as is unapproved revisions/derivations/reverse-engineering. There are also a couple patents in the works for a couple of the designs (such as the GPU security modules that will be posted later.)
Design Constraints:
Must fit in a 2'x2'x3' box
Must fit the eATX form factor.
Must fit 4x Quadro 6000.
Must be able to survive a 10ft fall.
GPUs should not buckle or flex, even on impact.
PSU should not be able to kill entire computer.
Entire case must be made from heat/scratch resistant material.
Watercooled. (Coolant is allowed to leak on impact, as proper procedure is to drain before moving.)
Must be able be entirely built on site.
Must be entirely original in design.
Other desired specs and data.
Must have a CCL
Open Design Concept/NonCommercial.
Ascetically pleasing (my discretion.)
Must look industrial/steampunk even.
As much storage as possible.
As fast storage as possible.
The plan:
8x Crucial M4s in Raid 1+0/10 (same thing)
4x Nvidia Quadro 6000s, 2x 2way SLI. (2d drafting and 3d drafting environments.)
Intel 3960x (because I can.)
Asus Rampage IV Extreme X79
64gb ECC Ram (Corsair hopefully)
H100 Liquid Cooling (I don't think there's WBs for Quadros, prove me wrong if you can please.)
Corsair AX1200 (I'll be getting blue sleeved parts.)
Preliminary cads will be posted soon. Working on the 10ft drop req right now.
