Safe vcore for water cooling?

Is it ok to go to 1.6? How about 1.65? 1.70? I am using the water cooling gear in my sig and my ambient temp is around 15C.

Well it really depends on what your temps are. Judge it more on that then sheer voltage. 15C is really quite cold, so I would imagine you would have a lot of leeway. Also make sure things like your PWM chips on the mobo are well cooled, as that extra voltage puts strain on them, too.

I would say 1.6 is a safe bet, above that and you really should watch your system stats carefully.

Sorry I meant the ambient room temp is 15C, not the CPU. The CPU is at around 30C with like 1.3vcore at full load. What is the best temp reading program to judge when it's too hot?

Id say 1.65 would be safe for water, If you want to go 1.7 or higher then you'll need to use phase or some xtreme cooler.

Everest is a good reliable program to detect your system temps.

What about just for benching for a few minutes, not like 24/7 use?

1.7V for a suicide shot on water.

I'll be going to 1.6V on air for my suicide shot.

For a suicide shot I guess just keep it under 65C, you can try to go up to 1.7 but if the temps go past 70 then shut it off.
