In the start menu type 'Disk Management' from there you should be able to delete or format the partition.

If its not letting you format because the drive is in use, because of the page file,do this to get rid of said page file,

Right click'My Computer',then click on 'Advanced System Settings',

then under 'Performance, click 'Settings' then click 'Advanced' at the top,

then under 'Virtual Memory',click 'change'

Then select the drive that has the page file on it and click the small radio button that says'No Paging File',click 'Set,

then click OK to close them, reboot your computer and the page file will be removed.

Thanks a million geeboi, and 'radio button' i love that~! Never hearded that terminology much. It all worked like a charm.
After formatting, do i need to concern myself with putting any settings back, it was set to "all" before, but i don't want page
filing on my C: drive which is my ssd , thanks so much

No you dont need to put any setting back,if you dont want a page file on a certain drive, just use the instructions above,if you do want a page file, check the radio button to either let windows manage itself or manually set a min/max page file.
