I just installed a new Samsung 830 SSD. But it's a sata 3 drive on my old board which is only sata 2, so I'm not getting the best out of it nor do I think this old motherboard is helping much either. I'm happy with the boot time compared to the minute and a half I used to get on my old HDD and OS installation, but before I started loading stuff onto the SSD I was getting 28 seconds. Someone in this thread mentioned how a bios update reduced their boot time considerably. I might have to try that!
