Yeah good point. What OS did you use. Tiny XP?

Pretty quick IMO for an old Samsung 120GB sata rev.1 mechanical HDD, not to mention the additional 4, 2TB HDDs attached to the system. I use a 4GB RAM disk to cache all system/user temp files, VM page file, select start up scripts, and other environmental variables...its really a no brainer to employ RAM as usable space (especially with its low cost / speed). I use a RAM disk of 8GBs on my sig rig for relatively the same things...works out wonderfully!

    After all the boot-race threads I've seen where various forms of "cheating" can be employed (like starting the timer after POST), I really like this idea!  Here is a much improved Reboot Clocker script that basically does the same thing while being simpler, Windows 8/10 compatible, and displaying fractional seconds to reduce the chance of a tie:
Code:
hkuCV = "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\"
Set WSS = CreateObject ("WScript.Shell")

If WScript.Arguments.Count Then
        rbTime = Timer - WScript.Arguments (0)
        If rbTime < 0 Then rbTime = 86400 + rbTime

        WSS.RegDelete hkuCV & "Run\RebootClocker"
        MsgBox "Your computer took " & FormatNumber (rbTime, 1) & " seconds to reboot.", vbInformation, "Reboot Clocker"
Else
        If MsgBox ("Please close all open programs and click OK to reboot your machine.", vbOKCancel Or vbInformation, "Reboot Clocker") <> vbOK Then WScript.Quit

        WSS.RegWrite hkuCV & "Explorer\Serialize\StartupDelayInMSec", 0, "REG_DWORD"
        WSS.RegWrite hkuCV & "Run\RebootClocker", """" & WScript.ScriptFullName & """ " & Timer
        WSS.Run "shutdown.exe -r -t 0", 0
End If

    Here is the fastest rebooting PC I currently have:

Computer: Lenovo H530 desktop PC
OS: Windows 7 x64 SP1 Home Premium in EFI mode
Disks: Samsung 840 Evo 120 GB (installed manually) + WD10EZEX 1 TB (OEM)
CPU: Intel i3-4130 @ 3.4 GHz
RAM: 6 GB DDR3 with no pagefile

    This is a completely functional computer, and it will be going to the customer like this (OK, maybe a little slower since I have a PCIe firewire card to install yet).  I'd sure like to see somebody running Windows 8x (which supposedly boots faster) see if they can top its time though!

    Later, I video recorded this computer rebooting and cold booting, and it did both in about 11.6 seconds.  Here's video proof:

    Got a significantly faster computer in now and decided to post another test result.  Let's see if anyone can top this one!

Reboot Time: 8.2 seconds
Computer: HP Envy 700-150
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
CPU: Intel i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR3-1600
OS: Windows 10 Home (x64)

    Here's video proof (again, during the video recording, I got a slightly slower time—8.4 seconds):
