delete will get you into BIOS on that board. You want advanced mode if it doesn't say that at the top press esc and select it. Once the go to the AI tweaker menu and into cpu setting the offset will be there.

Thanks for the tip. I went into advanced mode and this is what I see...

Is this a good overclock (now that you guys see the settings in the bios)?
And... any tips, as to what to fields to change to make the overclock low enough for cooler temps?

Have they OC your RAM too or why has it been set to 1.52 when the XMP profile shows it should be 1.5. Not a large difference but still...

Anyhow if it was me I'd just do the quick and dirty .. drop the volts (1.275) down to 1.25 first and see if it's stable. Then keep dropping that until it BSODs - then raise them up.

Why would it eventually BSOD? Wouldn't that make sense only if you are increasing the voltages?
And perhaps they did OC the ram... I didn't ask for it, but I guess it's part of the package.

EDIT: Upon more thought, I can see how it would BSOD if you lower the voltage too low, while it wants to maintain the 4.5GHZ overclock. What lower voltages have people shown to work at 4.5GHZ? I wouldn't mind lowering it to something like 4.3GHZ if it means lower temps.

The reason it will BSOD with too low a voltage is because it's not getting enough power to run. That what happens when you overclock, you increase the speed which means you require more Vcore otherwise it will become unstable.

You are new to overclocking; maybe you should try the easy way. Change the AI Overclock timer in the UEFI to AUTO and let your system set the basic overclock. Write a complaint letter with the information you acquired from the forum and request a $69.00 refund. Problem solved and you earned $69.00. Your build is worth $2,000.00, don’t despair. Read a "how to overclock" in the forum, and you will have your Ah ha moment.

I don't get it. What is this complaint letter, and what's the 69.00 refund?

He said, "In fact, if I had asked not to overclock it, I would have saved $69," If he is learning how to overclock. He did not need to pay for the overclock and he should write a letter for a refund for the overclock service. He claimed the seller did not overclock properly based on too much heat, etc. After reading the comments in the forum, I think he could make a good complaint. It goes without saying that he can get a great overclock setting, if he does it himself.

Just a tip, before touching anything, I recommend saving the current Overclocked setting profile they've made on your BIOS, so that you can go back to those settings if you wish later on to fine tune the OC from there.
