my 1055t OC configuratiom: suggestions wanted

Thread Starter
Hi all, i've yet entered in the OC world smile.gif ; after reading some guides and posts i decided to OC my AMD 1055T. After some tests i arrived to this bios configuration:

2qiwvgl.jpg

2upg2si.jpg

it was tested with prime95 for 1 hr, without any error and with about 30°C in idle and 53°C in full load.

Now some doubts:

-It's a good configuration for daily use?

- I've read that in overclocking FSB ram should be "relaxed", so i setted my 1600 MHz frequency RAM to 1333 MHz; It's possible to set RAM freq to 1600 MHZ or it is risky? I've 4x4 GB low profile (read my signature )

-Voltages are okay?

I would be very grateful if you could give me some suggestions and advice about modifying improving my configuration smile.gif

Everything seems fine. thumb.gif

It looks good for daily use, but you should Prime it for a min of 6 Hrs.

1Hr Priming is not enough to say it is stable.

Running your ram at 1600Mhz will not hurt it, since it is 1600Mhz rated.

And you voltages are good.

You could try decreasing your CPU voltage.

And/or

Increase your NB Multiplier, and get it as close to 3000Mhz as possible.

Doing that you will need to increase your CPU NB voltage as well, to keep it stable.

Thank you very much for your answer! thumb.gif
So i'll try to set ram freq at 1600Mhz, Nb multiplier to an higher freq and i'll run prime foer 6 hours. I'll post the results as soon as possible smile.gif

I think there are some problems with RAM... i tried to set DRAM freq to 1666 MHz and DRAm voltage to 1.547V (the nearest values to RAM specifics), the tried to set the nb to 2250 or 2500, PCIE freq to 100 or 101, i modified the voltages too but running PRIME95 in blend mode i always get this error:

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

What should i do?headscratch.gif

failing prime tells me your abit low on voltage the max voltage for cpu is 1.55 and the x6 cores are abit of power hunger Im running 1.45 for 4.0 gig for 24/7 but Im running a closed loop cooling
The max ram voltage is 1.65 you can go higher but it starts to get close to too much for 1.5 rated ram you are trying to over clock the IMC (interal menory contorler) side of your cpu when you raise the NB multiplyer you will need more voltage to CPU/NB and your ram max for CPU/NB Id not go above your cpu voltage max woild be 1.4 but you will need really good cooling to go that high for your next run try Vore at 1.43 CPU/NB at 1.28 dram at 1.6

Your memory clock appears to be configured as if a memory clock rate and not as "multipliers" as properly should be.  These clock rate estimates might be calculated with bus clock speed or be static and refer to if the bus clock were at 200, not 250Mhz.  Therefore, you should think of the memory speed settings as follows:

DDR3-1600 - x8 memory multiplier

DDR3-1333 - x6.66 memory multiplier

DDR3-1066 - x5.33

DDR3-800 - x4

You need to set the memory multiplier according to your bus clock.  If you want 1600Mhz operation, a bus clock of 240Mhz with multiplier x6.66 (DDR3-1333 setting) or 300Mhz (ideal for 4Ghz+ operation on 1055T) with multiplier x5.33 is ideal.

Ok, so i will try setting the ram following your advice and then i''l post some screenshots. thumb.gif
Just a question: i should set the DRAM voltage higher than 1.5v?

Looks like you don't need to.

I ran my watercooled 1055T for a year @ 286 x 14(4ghz 1.48v LLC would drop if down 1.37v under load), CPU/NB 2800 and HT 2000. If you can OC your NB to 2800 you will see big improvement fps.

Good Luck!

Okay, i setted my cpu freq to 250MHz, CPU voltage to 1.3750V; NB freq to 2500MHz, NB Voltage to 1.215V.
For the ram settings, i chose "667MHz DDR3_1333" with auto timings and voltage.
Before starting the prime test i noticed that cpu-z was reporting a CORE VOLTAGE fluctuating between 1.384V in idle to 1.424V in full load, but i setted the CPU VOLTAGE to 1.3750. What's happening?wth.gif
