Lets be serious here, when was the last time a Sony game on the PC worth buying anyway?

I have zero problem with cloud gaming.

My problem starts when they try to charge me for access to a game I already bought. They're not providing internet access or providing the game itself, they just want to inject an extra itemized transaction fee in the middle of it and I won't stand for it. They're trying to charge for the 'service' when in reality they should be happy I went along with it.

Why is it developers cry about piracy and hackers, but then they punish the paying customer AND try to fee them to death?

Latency will kill it, at least for me. And not everybody can afford/has access to decent internet, let alone without caps. The "It's 2012, upgrade or your missing out" mentality needs to end right now. It's not the consumers fault 100% of the time, sometimes it's outdated landlines and money-grabbing companies.

Not getting my money Sony, I like to actually be connected to my media, in front of my face, where I can play as much as I want with no caps.

1. I do! 2 reasons for ya. 1 I have no choice because I am on Satellite its all that is available to me. And the second reason, I like physical copies. Something to hold, look at, collect what have you.

2. Again I have Satellite. It is all that is available to my residence. There are more people like me out there than you think and we can't upgrade to a better service. Not being able to play is already happening to me mad.gif

IMO streaming services will end up being the "youtube" of the gaming industry. Yes, they will work (for some people), but they will never be the preferred way to play games.

Even if your ping is good enough, you'll probably end up using an upscaled 720x480 image at 30hz.

1) I buy physical copies. I've been buying them that way since I was a little kid and I like not having to download games for a day i.e Max Payne b4 I play them.

2.) So ignorant it hurts

if it ever gets to the point where cloud gaming is the norm, I'll just give up the hobby. I've had enough BS forced on me over the years. plus you can't trust these rich people. the moment they get control over whether you get to play or not, they'll start charging for literally everything. If anyone thinks for even a second that a company like EA wouldn't start charging to be able to even USE mods, or download maps, or even edit config files... well, you underestimate the greediness of people

exactly. the user has literally zero control. you don't even get to download the game files. they'd probably charge you extra for that

In the future so much content will be on the cloud that they can simply force us to buy a new game. "Oh you loved XXX title eh? Well we're getting rid of all the servers and since you need our servers to play even offline SP mode, your **** out of luck. But hey, we've just released XXX-II so you can go buy that now."

Eventually I can see this happening every 6 months just to keep us opening our wallets.
