why don't you take a look at this review and decide it your self.

http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/cm_hyper212_evo/

the 212 evo performs a bit better than the h60. I would go for 212 evo if I were you.

PS: make sure you have adequate space, to hold the 212 in your cabiant thumb.gif

Haha!! I do the same thing when Im drunk all the time. I always have to go back thru the forums I frequent and pull up my posts to make sure I didnt do anything stupid or ban worthy! wink.gif

I dont doubt youre showing 18C at idle, I just think thats a little low and that you might have one of the faulty temp sensors that are common to the Thubans (which an 960T is). Check your motherboard socket temp. That isnt part of the CPU and will usually be a few degrees higher. If youre showing 18C core temp but 31C socket temp, then you know your CPU temp sensor is about 8 degrees cool. My computer room is in my finished basement and its usually pretty cool in here and my ambient temp is usually 21-22C (68-72F) and I idle at 23-24C. Im sitting here right now with Mass Effect 2 running, downloading a CD off iTunes and browsing the web and Ive showing around 40% CPU usage right now and Im running 29C.

Actually its 1 degree worse than the H60. But considering its about half the price, you cant really beat that.

As for room, it should fit with no problem. I ran my 212+ in an Antec 300 with no issues and thats a fairly small case.

Thanks guys, I decided to Buy the EVO but switch out the fans on the cooler system to two Sycthe "Ultra Kaze" fans (Hoping this was a good move) I only had $50 budget for a cooler shipped, another option was a A30 but I experienced some odd issues with one earlier. I did look at the Plus but I did not like the contact method vs. the Evo. My case should be able to handle it, I have low profile ram (Samsungs new 30nm spec) and a HAF 912 so Im sure that I have plenty of room for any kind of cooler as clearance is not an issue since the ram is underneath the clips.

I decided to make final changes, I cancelled my Lightning and 212 EVO purchase.

Went with the DH-14, Added 8GB more of my ram, added a internal memory card reader, added more case fans (the cheapy 120mm coolmaster pack), and Switched to the Sapphire 7970 OC. in the end its a dollar less then a Lighting paired with a 212 EVO or even a +.

7970 Lightning to Sapphire OC? :/ Lightning models are binned to some extent, not sure about Sapphire. Add in the 14 VRMs on the Lightning.. and you can basically push it to the limit. Personally I think you had it right the first time, 3C difference at load on CPU isn't worth the graphics downgrade IMO. Idk, maybe even ref model GTX 680 is better over the Sapphire OC.
