Yes that paint should be just fine. Since RAM barely gets hot to the touch, you shouldn't run into any problems thumb.gif

And I think 1 can would be plenty. I used only one can of spray paint to do my case trimmings and fans (about 8-10 pieces total).

Hey guys! Just butchered some G-Skills RipJaws 1866 kit, similar to what the OP had.
Only one will fit in the case due to the cooler, but that is getting fixed soon.

I may even get some for my Samsungs even though it's not needed at all.. $7 for each kit though is tempting..

I used the tutorial today and it is very easy to remove the heat sinks.. Dont really need any heat and when you apply it you can hear and see the sink coming off the ram!!!
