Windows hates SATA2???

my ata100 (c drive) or my sata2 is dead, so im thinking about geting a new 200 gig SATA2 drive but...... me and my dad have had problems installing windows on them, its realy bugy. any one else have this problem. if so should i get a SATA150?

My SATA2 worked fine.

You might just need the SATA drivers during setup.

He shouldn't have an issue with SATA2 on his GA-K8N-SLI, unless he is going RAID. Is the problem on a different system?

Actually, the SATA drive is plugging into a RAID controller, so he still needs the drivers. Even if he's not going to use RAID, he is still using the controller.

hmm, when we installed winows, it took like 4 times to get it right, when we got it on, it was buggy, both on mine, and my dads SATA2 drives
