Well. I won't be putting my monitor at crazy angles, just to fix it so its level with my eyesight. As long as the monitor isn't actually tilting, I'll stick with the stand it comes with. I kinda am a little over my budget so I don't want to spend even more money on a vesa wall mount/stand unless I really have to.
Have people managed with these, especially the catleap stands? If it doesn't have vesa mounting and the stand is titled and can't support the monitor, I'm kinda screwed :/ I guess I can contact the seller and see if he can send me a replacement stand.
I think I'll be good with any of these monitors except the Crossover, because of the more frequent than not blue tint.
All the brands use the Same A- Graded panels so all issues panel wise affect all of them. The Catleaps, Pcbanks and achievas only have tilt, they don't have height adjustment. Most say that the catleaps are at a nice height. Where as the pcbank is so bloody low. The catleap has vesa mounting but you need to take the monitor apart to get the stand out and the silly gray thing it has on the back that covers the VESA mounts.

I heard that you need be B2 revisions for those... and since they are discontinued for newer revisions I doubt they will be the same price. So I'm not gonna wait because 120hz isn't a big deal for me :O

Maybe I'll be able to bump up the refresh rate just a little with the newer revision I'm probably getting, but I don't see the need since I should be getting around 60-70 fps in most games with max settings @1440p. smile.gif

Edit, I just looked at a 27" monitor in Costco and man is it huge. Will take a lot of getting used to, but I'm sure if I push the monitor back I'll be good smile.gif

Yea you need the 2B PCB in order to overclock.
They will be like $450 or so, which I think is worth it considering theres no other IPS monitor that can get 120hz, not to mention other 27" 1400p monitors from LG/Samsung/etc. are $800+
Win win situation if you ask me.

If they're all the same, then why (at least from what I have read) mostly the Crossovers only have the blue tint issues? I really like the look of the Crossover and it seems just so much sturdier, but I don't want to pick a brand with more defects than the rest!

Also just one more side question.Do I need to get another cable for the power brick? I see it uses the korean plug, just wondering if I need a 3 pronged plug for the power prick.

I've had my eye on the U2312HM for a while, heard nothing but good things. The only reason I'm hesitant to pull the trigger is that it's E-IPS panel. Are there any comparable monitors that are a better version of IPS like S-IPS?

Thanks thumb.gif

There's a 23" catleap, but honestly the difference between my 8 bit s-ips pcbank and the 6-bit+AFRC e-ips dell isn't huge.

And if it isn't that noticeable, I think this is the best picture I'm gonna get for the price I'm paying. I have to decide if I really want to void the warranty and remove the AG coating, though that'll be at a later time.

If you do photo editing from 2 feet away a bad AG coating can be real troublesome because it is hard to distinguish a crappy mate from real noise. I bought a HP 2475w and the AG was so awful it destroyed image quality. Same image on a NEC opticlear screen was far more superior and clean.
