Seriously? An i7 3930K for 180$? Where do you buy that stuff, cuz I'd seriously love to buy there too and resell them all! tongue.gifbiggrin.gif
Anyway, at Amazon, the 3930K is more like 570$.

Also, before we go on with this, you need to decide for yourself on what the new build will be used for. Just gaming? Watching some HD movies and browsing the web? Or will you do loads of AutoCAD, Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop?

If you're not into AutoCAD, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop or any of those alternatives, go for a Z77 build. Much more value for your money and less overkill.

Let's see...

Intel i5 3570K - 240$
ASUS Z77 Sabertooth - 240$
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz - 55$
Corsair CX600W - 65$
ASUS Radeon HD7850 - 279$
NZXT Switch 810 - 145$
Viewsonic's VA2448M-LED - 180$
Crucial M4 128GB - 125$
Western Digital Caviar Green - 2TB - 120$

That comes down to a total of 1449$.

Now, if you really need/want the LGA2011 build, the price of your CPU should be updated to 570$, unless you get a special deal somewhere.
Go for an NZXT Switch 810 instead of your Antec 1100. Much less noisier and much more cooling capabilities.
Your PSU is also overkill, switch to a 600 or 650W one, 700W at the most.
Unless you're an audiophile, the sound card of the MoBo will suffice. Also get the Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB - unless you're gonna store everything on that 120GB SSD of yours or unless you already have a HDD lying about somewhere. Also, get the Crucial M4 128GB instead of the Corsair one, more bang for the buck.

Hope this helps. smile.gif

The 3930K is $179 through retail edge for intel. I cannot get anywhere near that performance for anywhere near the price. The 6950's are used on CL and he wants $350 and i offered him $325.

I re-read your post. I will look at the crucial and the case. As for the psu, would a 600w really run a overclocked 3930k with crossfired and unlocked 6970's?

As for the question above, no, you need much more power.

So the 850w i picked would be enough for 2 unlocked 6950's(6970's) and a overclocked 3930K?

750W is enough for those too.
I'd go with something 850w just to have some room left.

You will have enough room even with 750W. No need for 850W unless it was a GTX 570.

Huh? I have heard of the program but don't know much about it. At that price they are pretty much paying you to have it so I still don't get how this is possible.
