Hm, my bad, I ticketed this and never updated this thread.  it's a data related issue, ticketed as #9587.  There seem to be a couple of issues regarding big posts with lots of different stuff in them (that is my super technical explanation) that we are currently investigating.  I will update this thread when I know more.

No, unfortunately.  It's a single post, so it's not being prioritized.  I'm pretty sure it's a post size issue, at some point they begin to fail to keep from impacting performance.  If there's a way to reduce the number of tags in the post, it would help.
