Is this why a lot of people hate BF 3? - Page 4

I hate BF3 for this reasons:

1) Sun flare. Completely destroys the sniper role, and it is pathetically overdone.
2) Gimped Frostbite 2 destruction capabilities. The original planned ones were awesome, the gimped version is pathetic, looks like Frostbite 1.5 when it could have gone leaps and bounds ahead it.
3) In-browser Battlelog. No thanks, I want my game to stay within my game.

And to ice the cake, there's EA's policies. That was the game breaker to me.

You guys can complain about lens flares all day long, but what really matters is when stuff like this happens:

That over there happens CONSTANTLY in BC2.

It is the main reason why I started playing with the AUG A3 instead of the M1 Garand like I used to.

I thought that shooting while moving can sometimes throw shots way off mark? Just another reminder that aiming skill doesn't matter because your gun constantly refuses to shoot bullets where you point it (like suppression). I'm still grasping the full scope of how many things can cause shots to "stray" like that in BF3.

It boggles me whether DICE was trying to aim for some idiot's skewed perspective on "realism" or whether they genuinely thought it was a good idea to frustrate people with unreliable shooting mechanics (which is supposed to be the bread and butter of an FPS).

yes, hitreg in bc2 and in bf3 is a complete and utter disaster, though i still enjoy playing bc2 very much
i decided i won't be playing bf3 when i have seen those lasers and flashlights, just makes the game uber stupid, and makes players like a frigin lighthouse so they could navigate helpless seamen safely from dangerous coastal rocks
plus i need to crack it to play without spyware (aka origin), and i search servers from browser (they could have also implemented it so you have to run it over facebook)
nah, no thanks, if i got it for free i'd play it (cracked ofc) for the sheer fun of airplanes, and that would be mostly it
why spend time with stupid things, when you can actually play something nice, like cod 4 :-p

It definitely makes a beautiful flight game, that's for sure. Once you get used to the controls and can fly for 5 seconds without getting your nose stuck in the ground, it's quite fun.

I love bf3 lol despite the problems , 64 players is awesome and the game looks great. Its my favorite fps multiplayer game right now. I used to play cod , but to me the multi got worse each new version , i didnt even buy mw3. my second fav is probably bad company 2 , followed by the original modern warfare (on xbox)

Most people hate BF3 because they are crap at it...

Ok seriously though yes sometimes the bullet reg is awful and the new suppression can be hard to deal with at times.

That's one of the reasons I hate it. I suck at it. But I suck at CS:GO to and I enjoy playing that. Same with TF2. I would consider myself average at it, but I still love playing it.

The game just feels stupid to me. It's not enjoyable to play. Which sucks for me because I was so hyped for it and pumped to get it. It was the primary reason I switched to PC gaming. I enjoyed the single player campaign, it's loads of fun to me. But the second I stepped into the multiplayer I was disappointed. Not because I suck, but because it's not enjoyable. It doesn't make me want to come back to it. I don't know why, but it just isn't fun to me.
Retribution.

This is one of those hard-to-explain feelings that I get when playing multiplayer. I can go 30-5 in Team DM, and then step into Conquest to end up going 2-18 due to being utterly helpless against vehicles and always getting spotted + killed wherever I go (like the game is punishing me for leaving base).

Obviously I chose to play out the hard yards - after all, this has happened to me before when I step into a game where half the players are veterans and the only thing to do is keep playing, playing and playing until you somehow get better. BF3 is one of those games except the "getting better" curve is PAINFULLY long. I was bored in the first few days from dying hundreds of times to tell you the truth, every death followed by a "huh? how? oh well, keep playing...".
