Hey they go back into biblical times... I don't doubt any of this anymore! As for the displays... LG has been stepping up their game!

Tree of knowledge.....Newton.....Etc.

/On topic

The PPI on this thing is a technical marvel but beyond marketing I fail to see how >350ppi could make a difference unless they put them in VR goggles 1/2" from your eyes.

When i had the iPhone 4 i could not get close enough to see the pixels. Anything over that you would need a magnifying glass which is pointless. By having over 330 PPI is just marketing. Does not benefit in any way possible. That is if in the future we improve out vision.

Apple markets their "retina" technology as being the average human not being able to differentiate individual pixels from a foot away (if I remember correctly, it might have been less). However, you can still see individual pixels from about 3-4 inches away. Really not that big of a deal, but higher PPI would be nicer.

I wish it had 100,000,000 ppi, so it would be like an actual retina.thumbsupsmiley.png

For the iPad yes but not iPhone 4. I have tried. If you get to close u lose eye focus before you see pixels. Retina just means no pixels for the optional viewing distance hence iPad has lower PPI then iPhone because you hold it farther away but still get same effect.

Been waiting for someone to do this with an Android phone. One of the reasons I switched to the iPhone was because the screen is gorgeous! Also because iOS actually works unlike Android on my two past phones.

5 inch and 'smartphone' does not compute. It is more of a slate at those dimensions.
