Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 vs Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Performance

Hi,

About to build a new I5-3750k rig and having a dilemma as to which one to pick

It's going to be used as a mainly gaming rig.

ATI 7850 2gb - just one for now but may crossfire in the future if needed.

Definately going to be overclocking to the highest stable 24/7 clocks.

z77 performance is more expensive for irrelevant things? but will look much better in a gloss black NZXT phantom case with the red highlights

So yeah please advise me.

Extreme 4 is better IMO. It has 2 PCIe 3 slots, compared to 1 and a PCIe 2 on the Fatal1ty. You get more 6gb/s ports, 1 more 1x slot, and the same legacy slots. The Extreme is also cheaper.

I will get the Extreme 4 then. I think it is about £50 cheaper and the Black on Black combo will look much slicker and stealthier.

Can put the savings towards a new speaker system. My speakers died on me today lol

I was thinking of getting the Logitech Z623 but now I'm going to go for the older Logitech Z-2300 as it has a bigger 8Inch bass driver and is much higher quality and higher power.

I'm actually planning to get an Extreme4 rather than the Fatal1ty myself. The black with gold accents looks amazing to me.

And I also own a pair of z-2300's. Can't go wrong with those. ^_^
