So I live in an apartment with my girfriend (soon to be fiance... i hope, lol), and I always have to do my best to keep the place presentable and clean and space is always an issue. Unfortunately I don't have a garage or an area dedicated to my hobby. As I get more and more involved in this hobby, now starting to bench with extreme cooling, I can't really have tons of stuff haphazardly lying about (scattered parts, soldering equipment, LN2 dewars, etc).
I'm thinking about getting one of the black eATX Torture Racks from Danger Den, which would allow me to maintain a benching/testing environment where I can keep all the components organized, but also easily switch components when needed.

- How have YOU reconciled your sometimes messy hobby with the loved ones in your life?
- What is your situation like at home, trying to keep things as less messy and cluttered as possible?
- How do you keep your "area" as clean and "presentable" as possible?
