I still live at home, so while I don't have to deal with a wife/girlfriend, I do have to deal with my parents, and I swear they can be just as bad. tongue.gif

Got myself a cheap shelving unit for my motherboards, ram etc and a few plastic tubs for insulation, DMMs, fans and other various bits that sit under my bed. Luckily my room is of a decent size, so I have room for 2 desks, the shelves and my bed. There's also usually a dewar sitting around somewhere, but it's in the shed waiting for filling right now.

lol! if anyone remembers me, i had to deal with that same question, well back last year i just got married, and the same question came up, my beautiful wife would hassle me about all my spare parts, as well as the four computers i had for folding, so i of course like any man, wanted to keep the wife happy, so i went to ikea, and bought a 5 section shelf and put all my computers on it real neat and i still had boxes of computer stuff in the dining room! lol! so, i stuck the boxes in my daughter's room!!!! out of the way!!! and when she would ask me about why do i have all this stuff, i would simply say, "honey, remember i fix computers, would you rather me pay for a storage and waste money, or would you rather me store it in our daughter's room and save money?" lol, it worked every time, but when she would bring up a certain section or part that was getting messy, i would say ok baby i'll take care of it! and problem solved!!! lol! remember, she is the queen and needs to be happy too!!! lol!

I stuck my data server in my daughter's closet for a while. I had to wire it up and pull power into it. She's gotten older so I had to move it out. Drats.

After my recent obsession with building my rig, my wife has just accepted what I do. She's not really the type to want to get involved in computers anymore than knowing how to turn on/off and general use of her laptop.
