Bad sensor on P5B Deluxe?

i started my quest of overclocking today. and before i got started i decided to ask about this temp sensor...

system 27C thats great
cpu 25C thats even better
but wait o noes!
AUX 125C

i tried puting on that optional fan and that didnt help was hoping that would fix it... it stayed the same temp :S

also while im here... i guess i should reask about the settings in the bios...

what should i have the nb/sb/ich at to start at? and whats the highest i should take them?

the ram i know. its tested at 4-4-3-8 at 2.2V

pci clock sync dont matter? no pci devices so just leave at auto???

spread spectrum *** is that Oo

pci-e put as 100mhz

correct me if im wrong..

also back on track. about that sensor? is it right or is it wrong? what part of the mobo is it even for :S ? it shows at 125C in speedfan latest version. dont show at all in bios...

once again! thankyou for your time i really appreciate your help!

I would use TAT(Thermal Analysis Tool) made by intel. It reads the temp inside of the CPU. Its only for C2D's and is way more accurate than anything else. SpeedFan isn't the most accurate program.

Here are some screenshots of an E6400 @ 3.2ghz

I am not advising you to simply use these settings, but providing them as a guideline. All the settings were compiled from questions I had that were answered by other members of this forum

I hope that these help.

and yeah... TAT bewhereitat

thanks that TAT is great 100% load prog and temp monitor in one

i can boot ez at 333 fsb but if i try at 355fsb it reboots before the loading bar shows up... alot of the stuff is set at auto in the settings atm... should i set the sb/nb/ich to something besides auto or am i missing sumtin here ^^ ?

edit: temps are at 50C atm load should i try reseating the hs&f ?

BTW: TAT is going to be hotter reads than on the mobo readings because its directly on the Die, and on the mobo it reads the outside. Try to keep it under 60, but I THINK it can reach up to 85 C on TAT. So you should be fine.

Really, I have no clue. I never checked my temps at stock, but that seems about right.
