Today I restarted steam and it now doesn't start up anymore. Downloaded steaminstall straight from steampowered.com, installed, still doesn't work. What can I do now, it works just yesterday.

My steam takes like 5 minuites to come up. i have no idea why it does this, it just takes a very long time from when i click the icon, to come up.

Question

Steam fails to start and does not generate an error message - what is happening?
Answer

Please ensure your System Clock is set to a valid date - an invalid date (for example, any date in the year 2099) will prevent Steam from loading.

Open the task manager and make sure all process's of steam.exe are not running.

Navigate to your steam folder(eg. C:\\Valve\\Steam) and look for the ClientRegistry.blob temp file and delete it, then run steam again

This should help and ask for your login infomation again.

I have this problem all the time and this always fixes it
