Nope sorry, with even a 120 rad in the top spot on the front you won't be able to get a 240 rad, of any thickness in the roof. Check out TTL's video on the prodigy case if you haven't already, goes over the case and points out what will and won't fit.

You don't really gain too much in the way of cooling performance with a thicker rad. Instead I'd look at multiple thin radiators.

You can stick a medium sized 2x120mm rad in the top of that case, and either stick a 1x180mm radiator or a 1x200mm radiator in the front.

That would get you loads more cooling capacity than one thick 2x120mm radiator crammed in the front or the top.

*edit*

Just saw that you need the hard drive cages...

You could possibly relocate one of the cages to the rear of the case (where the 120mm fan mounts), or turn the bottom cage side ways to give clearance for a radiator and fan in the front.

Already did, and as I said before I need the bottom harddrive cage.

Preordered the Prodigy case aswell - Will be housing an Asrock Z77 Mitx mobo.

Gonna go with the option mentioned here a few times - 1 x 240 at the top (35mm thick) and 1 200 in the front.
Going to go this route as I read a few places that an 80mm thick radiator will take quite some fanpower to function properly, and I am a sucker for silence.

Slightly off-topic, but keeping it on the Prodigy case, can anyone recommend some fans for:

1 x 200 Radiator

1 x 240 Radiator (35mm thick)

Would greatly appreciate any last minute advices before I purchase my very first water-kit.

Cheers!

I think your best bet is to get a Silverstone 180mm fan (FM181) and use a shroud for the 200mm radiator.

Gentle Typhoons for the 240 radiator.

Thanks mate - Think I found it all. Since the 240 radiator is so thin (30 mm) I am guessing I can use 850 RPM fans ?

What you need to look at in order to determine what speed fans should work best on a rad, is not necessarily thickness, but FPI or fins per inch. A 60mm rad with a lower FPI will work better with slow speed fans, than a 35mm rad with a high FPI. And generally most thinner rads have a higher FPI to compensate for the lack of surface area. So that 30mm rad most likely has a FPI of 15 or higher and needs fans at least 1500rpm for full performance.

While we're slightly on the topic of watercooling the Prodigy... What route are you guys going reservoir/pump wise? I was thinking this: http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/EK-D5-X-Res-Top-140-for-Laing-D5-Pump-Black-Acetal-pid-13505.html + the D5 pump clamped to the PSU wall?

Hey Cyclops its your neighbour to the north, I have a few rads here if you want to take a look in person before you buy anything. 450 Figures a crazed plumber would have some decent watercooling rads. oneeyedsmiley02.png
