Core 2 Duo Macbooks Pros - Page 4

I wouldn't mind one, but I am not gonna pay that much for one. But like I said, I wouldn't mind one. I say apple makes good computers. At work there are some G5's and some old G4's, and a couple of the iMacs. They work great. People saying they don't like it or wouldn't pay that much are just people who hate macs and the mac operating system. If someone wants to pay that much to get one, well good for them, there choice, their money, hey can do whatever they want with it.

But this is no different then talking about someone paying over $600 for the first DX10 that is gonna come out.

Exactly, That is something that I don't get, People bash bash and bash macs for being super expensive and this is coming from people who pay 600 for their graphics for 1000 for their CPU etc, Whatever floats your boat.

I was comparing the Dells breifly, The 17inch one is 2300, It only has 1.83Ghz, 1 gig of ram and windows. The only plus is it has a 7900GS, You want to get bashing? Oh and the 12inch when customized with the same CPU and the rest of it is over 2000

If you want a good graphics card for a Mac....you'd pay even more.

Get over it.

Back on topic...I'd buy a Macbook Pro if I had the money....I like em.

I compaired an HP dv6000t to the MacBook and MacBook Pro. With aproximately the same configureation (2 GB RAM, 120 GB hard drive, dual-layer DVD-RW, webcame, mic, full 3 year warrenty) the HP came out at roughly $900 less then the MacBook Pro, with the only component diferance being that the MacBook Pro had a 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo while the HP only had a 2 GHz Core 2 Duo, and the MacBook Pro had a Radeon X1600 256 MB vs. the HP's GeForce Go 7400.

When compaired to a MacBook (not Pro), the HP came out costing a wee bit more. Only diferance there was that the MacBook had Intel GMA 950, vs the 7400 in the HP.

I wouldn't set that up. It doesn't work so well, and the SMS is a bit sensitive.
