It was a weird glitch and yet to happen after a restart. I wonder what caused it at the first place

 

@ JonnyFenix, i really did not want to hard reset the PC but of course that would have been a last resort. I know modern PCs really dont damage themselves with a hard reset as they used to in the past but still i prefer turning off the PC normally.

What he's saying is that it wouldn't hard reset it. Just press the power button once, and it should start the shut down procedure the same as if you had clicked "Shut Down'.

press CTRL+ALT+DEL and you will see a red shutdown button at the lower right corner of your screen
