Defraggler is your defragger.. so that's what is using your cpu. Close defraggler and see what happens.

Defrag does not always run on the screen, but mostly in the background. The system somehow set itself so that defrag needed to start on restart, so that every time you restart, the system will either restart, or continue the defrag. Are you positive that you did not set the defrag on your own? And, if you did, all you need to do is go into services and disable the defrag service at startup.

A defrag basically means its cleaning out your hard drive from bad things or just mostly clutter. Defrag is sometimes a good measure to do, but not often. In your situation though, I think the system is set to start defrag on startup. You may want to disable that, or just let it run through. Then you don't need to worry about it. Let your system run the defrag overnight if it keeps popping up on startup.

100% CPU usage is not a symptom of any power mode. Im guessing the problem was defragler. Great tool BTW.

Change the priority of Defraggler. It's more than likely set to "High Priority", try Low Priority and see if it makes a difference.

No it doesn't, that's not what de fragging is.

But I agree, OP let the defrag run overnight and disable it from running automagically.
