Diablo 3 build $300-$500 help - Page 10

Plus, how about an apples to apples comparison? My builds 6950 vs yours' 6870? wink.gif

If the OP has a Microcenter nearby or can find someone to buy one for him, this Phenom X3 B73 for $39 is a smokin' deal. At 95w, you can get away with a midrange mobo easily.
It's so little!

Now THATs more like a reason to go AMD.

The higher wattage processor requires a larger heatsink which puts more heat in the case which requires more cooling. Also that higher wattage comes into consideration when picking the psu. In addition, the OP can save a little more in the near future and put an i5 2400 in which will absolutely spank any phenom. I do agree that the phenom is a great chip, but for this particular build, is just not necessary. If the op wanted to go amd, I would recommend the Athlon X3 450. At $75, this chip is pretty sweet.

Why would you spend 500$ and end up laging in games and then upgrading again? AMD phenomx x4 will do just fine in any games with 6870. That's why most people are still using AMD Phenom x4.

So you're saying if i were to use that disc again to install the windows 7 trial on my new pc i'm going to build and then type in my serial off of my vista pc i'm using. It will unlock windows 7 and i can use it on that?
How does that work? lol please enlighten me... That would be mega awesome and save me $100

You could use vista for a bit.. If you've got 8GB of ram! tongue.gif

But seriously, do you go to school still? There are heaps of serials on the computers at school, I asked a friend (who works there) about it and they never get used!
People take them all the time, just a quick snapshot with their phone and they have a free copy of WIn 7 tongue.gif

So i was playing around with this build, just to see what i could do and came up with this.

I Would buy this one, But what i would do is just use my trial version of windows 7 for 90 days or so to have enough cash saved up and just buy it then.
This would leave me open to doing this build which in my book would be sweet.

You could always install the windows 8 consumer preview, It'd be beta testing an OS, and it's free for now...

I would go with this hard drive

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148702&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=4003003&SID=krph18a9yjth

250GB it's pretty low...Since you decided Z68 make sure you use Intel Srt option which comes included.
If you got microcenter near by .. i5 2500k 170$
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0354589

Personally i would go with AMD Phenom and decent motherboard and OC to 4ghz it should be around 550$ then...
