I would keep and eye on it for like an hour at maximum load. If that long heat sink is hot, maybe double up the fans. But mine didn't get above like 27 - 30°C.

I just touched it with my hand. Usually if it's too hot for you to touch, and it's a heatsink, it's not doing it's job that well, but you could just get an electric thermometer. They're pretty cheap.

Another update on mine - sorry to keep ducking into your thread. tongue.gif

Up to 4.7, Ivybridge, @1.28V. Controller was set to 9, it stabilized at 65% load. Once I stopped the threads, it dropped right back down to the ~20% it idles at. At 20% my cores are all floating between 10-20*C.

Loving this thing. No major problems, it works perfectly, the controller is great. The only issue I have had so far is that one of the wires for the TEC power pushes on the nearest memory DIMM just a touch. I don't think it's a problem - will try and get a shot tomorrow. In any event, it's working just fine. smile.gif
