I have 970 Chipset, ASUS M5A97 PRO. So that rules out the other 970 boards.
Also the asrock extreme 3 has 4+1 VRMs, which is terrible for overclocking. My current board cost 85 pounds, the MSI 990XA-GD55 also costs 85 pounds, but with 8+2 VRMs and the 990X chipset.

but a quality 4+1 will not be able to keep up with the current demand regardless of how good it is. A 8+2 power phase will be able to provide a more stable current, also heat is a killer, and overclocking with a 4+1 power phase will produce a lot of stress on the VRMs
otherwise I would get it.
