DAY 2

So , I really like my storm trooper, but let's be frank; it looks pretty plain jane in black. Nothing a little paint cant fix!! Ive been battling to do it in either red w/ stainless steel trim or white with black and stanless steel trim.



Needless to say, I went with the red. I think it looks sexy. Plus if I change my mind, I've got plenty of sand paper =D.

Here is a pic of my case before. I kinda forgot so this is the gut w/o the panel.



I first started by sanding and painting the mesh grills on the case, except for the top one...I for got to take it off =/ This is the first time i've used this particular color and wow, it looks amazing. for these though, I didnt bother using self etching primer and so far so good.These meshes will give the red a nice accent.







I then started cutting the window into the right side panel. I plan to place a red LED Sickle flow fan on my Hyper 212+ heatsink to light it up in there. Im still debating putting u channel around the edges, it looks kinda hideous IMO. But i was able to grind down the sharp edges using my dremmel, so we'll see.











I also managed to sand, prime, and cover my right side panel in the red coat. It needs to dry/cure for 24 hrs so NO TOUCHY!!











I pulled the case down to wet sand the self etching primer then put it back up to throw on som color!! MISTAKE #1: I dropped my case on the bottom right edge and it got bent. I flattened it out as much as I could but so hopefully it wont be too noticable







Im doing more work today so stay tuned!

Day 3:

Yea yea, it's been a few days since I posted..life happens =D But, I managed to get the top and front covers primed and ready for their paint.





Also Finished all the mesh grills w/ their Stainless Steel color.



Both front and top covers will have a two-tone paint scheme:



I finally went to home depot and picked up some acrylic to cut. Kinda cut it crooked the first time though so I'll redo it and post.

The right side panel will be sanded/primed/painted tomorrow. Also, I'm ordering some U-channel for the window, and red LED sickle flow fan for my hyper212+ to show though and possible two skull carbon fan grills from MNPC Tech; i think they would look so sick on the left side panel on the mesh. We'll see. Lastly, I'm thinking of picking up a can of Red engine Enamel to change the color of my MOFSET Heatsink, the blue might clash w/ the red. Im not doing any cray cray overclocking, but Im not feelin' voiding my warranty.

Yea, I looked at it after placing some acrylic behind the hole. Anywhere to buy it cheaper than MNPC Tech? their shipping is like $10. I looked at bestbyte but didnt see it listed anymore.

I guess I wont be painting today after all, (monday)
