Transfering a game from a HDD to a SDD

Thread Starter
I just recently got a Crucial m4 128gb and also just recently finished downloading a 30-40gb game.(took about 2 and a half days) Can I just install windows on the SSD, not activate it, and transfer the files from the HDD to the SDD and then wipe the HDD and activate it on the SSD? I only want to transfer the one game. How can I do this without having to redownload the game? I was thinking about transfering the game onto an ipad and then back lol can that work?

Just install it and copy over your saves. As that would be the easiest way. Thanks

Well about the only other option you have is copy the folder over then. And see if it then launches like that. Or leave the game on that hdd and make a shortcut for now. Thanks

you can copy it over into say like C:/Games/gamefolderhere

then go into that directory and set a shortcut of the launcher to the desktop

some games that use steam or origin require a different method
