Thanks for the replies guys. This is actually a bench rig I am using for crunching SETI, and right now in the morning when it's fairly cool they run in the low to high 50's, but when it's late afternoon and it's hot up here, they easily get into the higher 60's. I always believe higher air flow is better, so it's dumb that they locked it out. They are slightly OC'ed so that doesn't help, but I like to have as high a RAC as possible with whatever hardware I'm using. One interesting thing about this rig, I bought a Corsair H100 to try with it, as I have my 950 overclocked a little to 3.2, nothing extreme, and wanted to keep it cool. I installed it, and saw my temps go from the 40's under load to the mid 50's. I let it run overnight to settle in, and it never got any better. I've used AS5 for as long as I can remember, so I figured that the OEM stuff wasn't up to snuff, and cleaned it off quite well then applied AS5. Well, my temps actually got worse, they are now in the low 60's. I know AS5 has to cure for up to 200 hours, but still, it was worse than the OEM stuff. even uncured? I tried turning all the fans down and listening for the pump, not sure how loud it's supposed to be, but I couldn't hear a thing. I think the pump is FUBAR, but I am heading to Microcenter today to pick up my new CPU, I think I will pick up a new H100 and try installing it, to see if mine is bad, or if these things just don't work. As to my vid temps, looks like there isn't much I can do about them, other than downclocking them when it gets really hot, at least until they let us go to 100% fan speed.
