What do you think of BIOSTAR TPower X79 Ver. 5.x?
I would like to think the RIVE just because I bought it so I think it's the best, lol. The UD7 is nice though...

How about the ASRock x79 Extreme11? You think will be better motherboard Asus Rampage IV Extreme?
If it's anything like my old Z68 ASRock board I have a feeling it will be a great board with a lot of promise. That being said I doubt I am going to be recommending it. IMO it looks blah. If you need sata ports then that is your board. I really dislike the layout of it too, main reason I hated my old fatal1ty board.

I am sure it will be a great board, but to me there are just too many little things that rub me the wrong way.

Good luck either way
(The avitar and specs in my bio are of my last rig recently stolen)

I just wanted to note that Ivy Bridge-E will _not_ be out this year, and have actually been pushed back past the Haswell release next year at the earliest. There's also a rumor that they may not be released at all, but that is doubtful.

Who knows.
If youre referring to 23076_05_we_shouldn_t_see_ivy_bridge_e_processors_until_mid_2013.jpg

then >= means it may or may not be replaced.

For example, we all know that the 3770K is better than the 3820, but when they are both at stock, the 3770K beats the 3820.

I have a Biostar,3960x at 4.717ghz, 2x msi 570 tf3 and its working pretty good on air. Got mine for £105 new. Great deal. Clr Bios button, not jumper-has proved its worth a few times.smile.gif Oh. A downside i discovered. Internet turns off when i overclock close to 4.7g. When i let things cool down, drop down to 4.5 reboot everything is fine. Annoying.Check post #12013 .
