XFX Double D 7850

So I bought this non-reference card and can't seem to unlock voltage control. I've tried Trixx, GPU Tweak, and Afterburner. According to newegg reviews voltage can be adjusted....

Does anyone else have this card, have you had any luck?

AFAIK, Trixx is the only software to support voltage tweak on XFX 7850 Double D (I have that card too), you have to scroll down, it's there, just below power limit setting.

How about trying these drivers? I use them and they are better for allowing 3rd party tools to work. Make sure you follow the website's instructions for a clean driver install. Also, FYI, when I did a clean driver install, my DVI ports did not work until I installed the new drivers, and an adapter didn't help. I had to use an old VGA CRT monitor for that step.

http://benchmark3d.com/amd-catalyst-12-4-whql-7900-mod

I know it says "7900 mod," but I think it's his latest updated drivers.

For GPU tweak, did you click advanced settings? It's the hexagon - it should be filled. Next, go to settings, and you should see "overclock range enhancement" - it may be ticked. UNTICK it, click apply, and then go back into settings, and TICk it, and click apply. That worked for me - the GUI just hadn't updated or something. I am using GPU Tweak 2.0.6.0 from the GPU Tweak website. Not an XFX Double D, but it may help.

Thanks for the suggestions all. I installed the 12.6 beta drivers and now Trixx works....ASUS still doesn't though.

Anyway, so far at 1250/1400 1.24V...card seems about average based on other peoples clocks. Got to say it's quick as hell though, finally BF3 is smooth.

1250 Mhz is great. Not many people get to those clocks. I don't know what you were expecting biggrin.gif

Yeah I know they are good clocks, but when I max out voltage to 1.3V in Trixx it only actually nets around 1.24V which is putting me at a 1270/1400 cap. I know I could get more with increased voltage. Oh well...still not bad biggrin.gif
