Bruce,

As for cooling the rear of the VRM area you have mount area on the right lateral panel of Xigmatek Elisyum case for the 120 mm fan.So it's the feature of the case. As for cooling the front of the VRM area I put on the upper surface of the graphics card ( first slot on the motherboard ) two 120 mm fans that blow to the VRM area. I also have EK mosfet water block. All this helped me to prevent CPU throttling during lengthy sessions with Prime95 at 5 GHz.

Hi Bruce,

You have nice setup there. How are the temps? Did you noticed some improvement with larger radiator surface and higher water flow from dual pump setup? As for updating your progress under this thread - no problem.

Bruce,

I have some new pictures with 3930K 5 ghz prime95 testing. This time with water chiller TECO TR15. I'm very pleased with this compact unit. I ran test for 2 hours at 25-26C ambient and water temperature between 14-16C to prevent condensation. My new chip is very leaky with delta core/water temperature around 55-60C. The whole system draw 520W at maximum from the wall. Load VCore value was at 1.53-1.54V and with high LLC setting in BIOS. With conventional water cooling setup I couldn't run stable p95 5 ghz test due to excessive chip leakage.

hcn,

Nice chiller you got and is very affordable to. When you said my new chip.. meaning your first one die? is this the intel tunning plan replacement chip?.. I've also bought the intel tunning plan and I am still aiming for 5ghz stable but still need a lot more tweaking to do. Getting 5ghz priming stable is awefully difficult. 4.9ghz is my sweet spot right now. Hopefully this weekend I will get sometime to install all my other msic stuffs and do more tweaking.

First chip started to produce random 0x124 BSOD errors so I replaced it with Intel Tunning Plan. You're right, with conventional water cooling 5 ghz p95 stability for 3930K is awefully difficult. Especially at high ambient temps. I wish you luck with more tweaking this weekend.
