2 6770s are not slower than a 560 ti. i had 2x 6970s for a while and they were fine...

6850 would be a solid choice for under 150

I agree get a 6850 or 6870. It will not run it on ultra. but it will run it on high. i have dual 6870 so i can tell you even in crossfire it wont run great on ultra. Reason being is there is not enough vram. If you dont mind used i have seen 6870s go for about 100-120 shipped on OCN.

I would advise you to go for 2GB cards. Either HD 6950 or HD 7850. My suggestion is you save up the extra money and get the HD 7850. thumb.gif

6870, $160 after rebate.

6850 vs. 6870

I think for $10-$20 more dollars it's worth it.

HD 6950/ HD 7850 is a very good choice if you have the money.

My HD 5830 ran BF3 at ultra full AA, AF and vsync at 1440x900 without any lag, fps never dipped below 30fps (Fraps).

I am in UK too, on Scan you can get a HD 6850 for 85 pounds (MSI) which I am also considering. You could get one before the prices go up again.

HD 6850 85 pounds
HD 6950 160 pounds (as mentioned)
HD 7850 185 pounds (as mentioned)

op..what CPU are you plannin on using in combination with your GPU?? if im not mistaken i think that duo core will probably bottle neck any card that we've mentioned here.

what is considered great? Just curious cuz i think my 6850 runs great on ultra...could be though that maybe ive never seen great....but eitherway..no lag n very few FPS drops (which are really not noticable)

Well I should be getting a 6870 but do you think I should buy another one? I can buy another one if I wanted to because I got a bit more money now.

What resolution will you be running it at? What CPU do you have? Do you plan on running BF3 with anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, and all the other eye candy?
