That's what I got on day 1 of IB release. $295 after taxes...hard to beat.

Yes, they have $50 off any motherboard if you buy an Intel chip.

Yeah u won't be disappointed! Love love LOVE microcenter. XD. just FYI,all z77 boards get 50.00 discount when u buy a 3570. Not just the ones they advertise in the flyer. It was such a great deal I nearly ran out of the store before they stopped me for theft.

Perhaps it is time to move this to the build section...

I was really torn as i had a horrible nightmare of an experience with my Intel Q6600/Gigabyte P35c board. In fact, enough of a nightmare to keep me from rebuilding anything for 6 years. My AMD A64 build from before that STILL has a rock solid OC 10+ years later...

I was thinking about keeping my Antec P180B case (as it appears pretty roomy) and my CoolerMaster Extreme 550W PSU. I don't think that my TT120 will fit without a mount hack and I would rather add something else. I am not sure I want to delve into WC at the moment and my OC will likely be MILD. Any suggestions on good price/performance air cooler or is an inexpensive WC as much as a high priced AC?

So far:
Crucial M4 128GB (boot)
Intel 3570k
Asus Sabertooth Z77
Antec Performance One: P180b
16GB (4x4GB) SAMSUNG DDR3 1600

Still need:
GPU: Thinking EVGA 570 Superclocked (will this require a larger PSU?)
Larger PSU?
New Case?
Air v. Water?

Go for a 670 if you're on a budget, or a 7970 if you want even better performance.

An Ivy Bridge i5 3570K has a max TDP of 77W. A GTX 670 has a TDP of 170W, so 170W+77W=244W, so you'll be more than fine with a 550W PSU.

This is ivy Bridge we're talking about here, so it does get hot. That being said, if you only plan a mild OC (let's say an OC of max 4.5GHz), you should be fine with Air Cooling, depending on what ticket you draw in the sillicon lottery.
If you want even better OCs, past 4.6GHz (and even that will be hard) Water Cooling will be the solution for you.

140$ is the most expensive I've seen for a midi-tower case. Go for the NZXT Switch 810 instead. Besides, the Antec case weighs 9.5 kilo, the NZXT I propose 9.1 kilo, and the NZXT is a full tower case! The NZXT will provide you with the best cooling capabilities. smile.gif

I wouldn't touch a sabertooth board if you paid me. Oh wait they do pay me and we replace that model Asus board quite a bit. (to be fair that was the x58 version but still........)

I can always change my order. I do not want a cheap a$$ motherboard. I had enough headaches with the Gigabyte P35C!
