Actually the only way I can get the DVD player to work properly is by putting a HDD on the same IDE as the DVD. Thats what solved it. When I have the DVD on the cable by its self I get the slow down problems. So at the moment A 15GB HDD has found a new home in my computer to fix the slow down problem. Im still not really sure whats causing it. Im pretty sure its some thing to do with the motherboard probably the Jmicron controller.
Im just glad I found a inexpensive way to get the DVD player to work.
