After the XP weekend, and I saw the Stat loss issue, I stopped playing until it is resolved.
I can't how someone would put a few hours into a game, only to have none of the stats recorded.

But the FAMAS was a great weapon for CQC. Many of the good compact rifles were nerfed. Now the M16A3 and AEK rein supreme.

BF3 seems like it needs patches inorder to be updated. I haven't seen them "tweak" the game yet.
When the problem is found, then they'll issue a patch. By then, a week or so has passed. Lame.

By creating for consoles first in the end, really tied down the PC version, otherwise, this could have been fixed in a day.

See that's what makes it all the more annoying though. The entire purpose of having Battlelog and such was for more seamless updates. I vividly remember DICE saying that Battlelog allowed them to shoot out small updates in very rapid succession, yet BF3's patching history shows otherwise (months apart). If there is a game-breaking bug (like this one, stops all players from progressing their soldier) DICE should have the capability of shooting out an emergency update to disable a certain weapon or fix the bug altogether, seamlessly, before the playerbase is even aware that the FAMAS is the cause of it.

This really only disadvantages people who haven't got everything unlocked, otherwise it's nothing to the rest of us. XP, rank, and stats don't stop the enjoyment of the game and it doesn't define a good player. If so then you might as well go play a pokie machine if you want some endorphins released from all the bright, pretty colours and bleeps and bloops. The whole "mini-RPG" system is stupid in FPS's, it's not needed to have fun if the core game is fun to begin with (which I think it is).

Troll's paradise? Heck no. Trolls want visible results and instant gratification (like mowing down player after player with glitched M26). Meanwhile this is something which is too much work verify and the troll won't even know whether it's working or not. They didn't tell us under what circumstances/attachments/etc that can happen with FAMAS, it could be an extremely specific combination of events (e.g. like having to drop something first or die somewhere first), even more reason it's completely pointless to "intentionally" use FAMAS to stop people's XP gains.

But I will agree this is a CRITICAL bug, if I were Dice I would first whip out a hotfix that completely disables the use of FAMAS until they figure out what's causing the bug. XP is very important to new players and those trying to reach max rank. The complexity of the code running BF3 must be really insane to allow such a bug to take place o_O

That sucks... whatever happened to quality assurance/beta testing? To the thread above: idk how big this bug really is and if the players know they'll freak a bit when someone wants to use the famas.

Considering that this wasn’t happening after the recent most recent patch update, we can only assume that this new bug may have crept into the game after the recent double XP playlists update."

We need a post requirement for posting in the news section. It's either really hard to click the sticky on posting in this section or... and look at the source; sounds legit.
